Singer-songwriter Blake Ian reemerges with the release of his latest single, “Desire”. A poignant reflection on the perils of succumbing to base desires at the expense of one’s well-being and principles. Sung from the perspective of a partner grappling with the consequences of their actions, the song strikes a chord with its raw honesty and emotional depth.
With over 25 years of folk rock mastery under his belt, Ian’s music delves deep into the complexities of the human condition, exploring themes of mental health, fear, and love with unparalleled depth and sincerity.
A native of New York, Ian has cemented his status as a prolific recording artist, entrepreneur, and producer. With three full-length albums and a multitude of singles and EPs to his credit, Ian’s illustrious career has seen him share stages with icons including 5 Rock n Roll Hall of Famers, such as Eric Burdon and The Animals, Kenny Loggins, Donovan, Steve Miller Band, Leon Russell, Daughtry, Christopher Cross, Gin Blossoms among others.
“Desire” is the result of a massive collaboration with other artists from industry legends to up and coming indie musicians. The track was mixed by John Agnello (Bob Dylan, Dinosaur Jr) and Mastered by Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound (Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, R.E.M.).
KW2 is one-of-a-kind multi-media artist living in San Diego. This is the fourth collaboration between Ian and KW2 in 12 years. Their process includes the visual artist listening to the song and placing the songwriter in a Universe in which the experience took place.
